OnZero targets are all made from 10mm thick AR500 High Carbon Steel. This steel is used for extreme high wear applications and armour plating.
High Carbon steel such as AR500 should never be cut using high heat producing methods such as Plasma or Laser. Doing so will create a heat affected zone that softens the edges of the plate. Some may tell you otherwise, but this is metallurgy and is a fact. Do not purchase plasma or laser cut target steel, you are wasting your money.
OnZero targets are coated in 2 Part Polyurethane paint. This will ensure that the targets have a longer life, even though the plaint coating will take a beaing when the target is being used. A light coating of spray paint post a shoot will ensure your target has a long life.
OnZero targets are produced to be used with 10mm round head (to minimise deflection risk) square should bolts, Stainless units are recommended. It is also recommended that you use the hardest bolts that you can find (nominally 8.8 grade if available).
